Biography
Dr. Ashish Rustagi is a Professor of Orthopaedics at the Central Institute of Orthopaedics, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi — one of India’s leading tertiary-care government teaching hospitals. He completed his MBBS at MKCG Medical College (2005) and his MS in Orthopaedics at University College of Medical Sciences & GTB Hospital, Delhi (2010), followed by international fellowship training in hip arthroscopy (Clínica Mompía, Spain), arthroplasty and adult joint reconstruction (DITO & Sant Parmanand Hospital, New Delhi), and hip and knee arthroplasty (KKD Puttlingen, Germany).
He has presented at international forums including the SICOT World Orthopaedic Congress (Prague, 2011; Guangzhou, 2015), and is regularly invited faculty at IOACON and DOACON, India’s national and regional orthopaedic conferences.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Rustagi holds a postgraduate diploma in Medical Law & Ethics from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, and a Diploma in Hospital Management from NIHFW, New Delhi — a combination that informs his work in medicolegal review, clinical governance, and health-system consulting. He has supervised postgraduate thesis research for eight years and serves as a postgraduate examiner for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, University of Delhi, and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
